20 years of outstanding service to patients in St. Augustine has garnered Dr. J Hartley the gratitude of hundreds. As 2016 marks this auspicious 20th anniversary, we would like to share another such story.
“I am a 50 year old man who has had severe neck and back problems for most of my adult life. The excruciating pain and numbness had become so bad it affected my every day activities, as well as making it impossible to get a good nights sleep. X-rays had revealed several herniated discs. I had been told by a doctor several years ago that I had no choice but to have surgery to ease the pain. Not being a big fan of surgery, I decided to see Dr. Hartley for a second opinion. He assured me he could help my situation with chiropractic care and that I wouldn’t need the surgery. This sounded like the way to go.
To make a long story short….after about the fourth visit I started to feel like I did 20 years ago. Now that I have been going to Dr. Hartley for about five months, my neck feels about 90% better and my lower back, there is definite improvement. I can now sleep without waking up every half-hour in extreme pain. I no longer get fatigued just walking up a flight of stairs or taking a walk on the beach. I am living a much more productive life which I owe to Dr. Hartley. With continued treatment, I am certain I will be benefiting from chiropractic care for many years. The thought of having back surgery is no longer in my plans. Another bonus to going to Dr. Hartley is I have not even had a cold in the five months of coming here. I used to get colds and sinus infections on a regular basis. It’s true —-chiropractic care DOES have a positive effect on the immune system. I will continue to tell friends and relatives about the benefits of chiropractic care.
